Is Honkai Star Rail On PlayStation 5?
Honkai Star Rail will be released on PlayStation 5. Unfortunately, the game won’t be released on PlayStation 3, so if you’ve got one at home, you’re out of luck. However, there’s a catch to the PS5 release. The game is set to initially be released on Mobile and PC on April 26, 2023, and will come to PS5 later on.
The game was confirmed on PlayStation by Honkai Star Rail’s lead engineer Yang Yu on PlayStation’s official blog.
As far as when it will be released for PlayStation 5, we’re not totally sure. It is probable that the PlayStation version of the game is still being developed and it’s expected that it’ll be released in the late summer in 2024.
HoYoverse, who are also the developers of Genshin Impact, have an idea of how essential it is to release the game on PlayStation since they’ll be attracting a huge chunk of players to the Platform. So don’t worry Sony fans, the game will get released on PlayStation; all you need to do is be patient in the meantime.
Is Honkai Star Rail On PS4?
Honkai Star Rail will be available on the previous-generation PS4, although the release date is still uncertain. Genshin Impact, a previous game in the HoYoverse franchise, gained immense popularity due to its availability on PlayStation, so it’s not surprising that the developers want to return to the platform.
While some PlayStation fans may prefer an exclusive focus on PS5 hardware, the fact that the game is being developed by a third-party company means that Sony has little say in the matter.
It seems unlikely that Honkai Star Rail will offer significant advancements in graphics or performance compared to Genshin Impact, so releasing it on PS4 should not impede the PS5 version’s progress significantly, if at all.
