Honkai: Star Rail is just around the corner and fans are brimming with questions related to the game’s platform availability. Since HoYoverse has players spread out over many platforms, there are concerns if Honkai Star Rail would be available on PC, especially in stores like Steam.

Will Honkai Star Rail Be On Steam?
Unfortunately, Honkai: Star Rail will not be available for download on Steam for PC players. You will, however, be able to find the gatcha game on the official HoYoverse website and pre-register for the download on your PC so you can jump into the game once it’s released. You can also get it from the Epic Games Store in case you find using the Epic Launcher more comfortable. Furthermore, to your delight, you can also pre-load and pre-install the game to try it out right on launch.
Steam Deck faces an issue because of this.
Since Honkai: Star Rail is unavailable on Steam, Steam Deck users won’t be able to download it directly from the Steam store. Furthermore, neither Epic Games Store nor the game’s own launcher, which has Honkai: Star Rail, have Linux native apps in order for us to run on the Steam Deck. Even if the game was downloadable on the Steam Deck, it can’t support the anti-cheat software used in the game once again leading to a dead end.
The best bet for Steam users currently is through running Windows 11 on their devices, which we won’t really recommend since they might face hardware issues with the OS not recognizing their controls. You can always play the game on your Android or iOS devices till the game is set to release on the Steam Deck in the future.
