Overwatch 2 sprang to our screens on October 4th this year and became available to players for free across multiple platforms. The game has both player-versus-player modes while introducing persistent cooperative modes. Overwatch 2 is available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

How to download Overwatch 2 for PS4 & PS5

It’s fairly simple to download and play Overwatch 2. Being a free-to-play shooter, you won’t have to put in any of your bank details, and you won’t have to buy a physical copy of the game. It is completely digital and online, meaning that for the PS4 and PS5, all you have to do is it from the PlayStation Store or remotely on the PS App.

If you’re on your console, search up Overwatch 2 on the PS Store and you can begin your download from there.

Alternatively, you can also download Overwatch to from the PS App. This means you don’t have to be near your computer. Same principle as on the console; just search up Overwatch 2 and start the download.

How long does it take to download Overwatch 2 on PS4?

Overwatch 2’s size is 22.5 GB. So to install the game it should only take minutes. However, to download onto PS4 it may take upwards of 1hr depending on your connection speed.

Although this is the official size of Overwatch 2, Blizzard Entertainment advises that users have at least 50 GB of available hard drive space before downloading Overwatch 2. The game has got a rather larger storage footprint and demands a bigger space on your SSD.
