Jagged Alliance 3 is a tactical combat game that requires you to control mercs and their best stats as they fight the enemy forces that have taken over Gand Chien. Throughout the game, you will unlock various mercenaries like Barry, Fox, Wolf, Magic, Ivan, Reaper, Livewire, and Igor who will help you in the battle.
Each merc in the game can obtain perks that will help them overcome many challenges. These perks can increase your marksmanship, your firearms damage, and even cause panic in enemies. Of course, a merc is nothing without their base stats.
Only the best mercenaries will do and so you need to choose ones with great stats and skills that will help you progress in the game. These stats will help you use weapons like machine guns and sniper rifles. Some will even help in melee combat. Here are the best stats in Jagged Alliance 3.
Jagged Alliance 3 – Best Mercenary Stats
There are only five core stats in Jagged Alliance 3. Of course, each of these stats is important but some are more important than others. The list below shows how important each stat is.
- Wisdom
- Dexterity
- Agility
- Strength
- Health
Let’s break down why the stats are in this order.
Wisdom
Wisdom is first on the list because it controls many other aspects of your merc’s stats. For starters, the higher the Wisdom stat is, the faster all of the merc’s other stats will grow.
Your character’s Wisdom will also affect secondary actions like diffusing traps, scouting, and opening loot containers. With how much this stat affects, it is hard to not see it as the most important.
Dexterity
Dexterity affects the character’s overall accuracy with firearms and melee weapons. If you want to land your explosives in a specific location, a higher Dexterity stat will help make that happen. This also applies to other firearms like heavy weapons and full auto rifles.
A character’s Dexterity stat will also affect their stealth kills. The higher their Dexterity, the greater the chance they have of getting an instakill with a melee attack while stealthed.
Agility
Agility and Dexterity are both very important. While Dexterity affects how well your character does in combat, Agility affects how much they can do.
The greater your character’s Agility, the more AP they will have and the more actions they can perform both in and out of combat. The whole squad benefits when a character can do more.
Strength
Fourth on the list is Strength and it is because it only affects your melee damage and throw range. Strength is normally a pretty standard attribute that is easy to understand.
With a greater strength, your character will be able to throw knives and explosives further but whether they will hit depend on your Dexterity.
Health
The final stat on the list is your Health. This may seem odd but it is because there are many instances where your HP doesn’t matter. Your Health stat only affects how much health your character has.
If you play the game well enough, the Health stat is almost useless because you won’t get hit very often. If you are always getting into trouble and dealing with wounds, you may want to make this stat more of a priority.
