Getting across huge gaps is a shockingly common requirement to progress in Jedi Survivor. Getting across these gaps will require more than just a well-timed jump, especially during the opening area of Coruscant. Luckily, Cal comes with the ability to use Ziplines to cross these gaps. Let’s go over how to use ziplines in Jedi Survivor.

Jedi: Survivor – How To Use Ziplines

Using ziplines in Jedi Survivor is quite simple, it just requires a bit of faith that they will work. You simply need to jump and come near the zipline while in the air. This generally requires you to make a leap of faith over the gap and hope that Cal will latch onto the zipline.

This tends to be quite forgiving so you will more often than not make the jump easily to get onto the zipline. Just make sure you don’t spam jump and you will immediately jump off the zipline once on it and generally fall to your death.

The system can be a bit touch and go, but just know that as long as you jump near the zipline the game will gravitate you toward it as you fall down. You can tell you are going to get on the zipline when BD-1 gets off Cal’s back to climb on top of the wire as Cal grabs onto it.

You will have plenty of time to practice getting onto ziplines if you want, as Jedi Survivor currently has a download lock placed on the game that prevents players from going past the opening Coruscant level until you download the newest patch for the game.

This seems to have been put in place to make up for the rough launch that many PC users had with Jedi Survivor which made the game almost unplayable. Many reported getting low framerates that made fighting any of the bosses practically impossible as they couldn’t react quickly enough.

Even if you don’t want to practice using ziplines or play around on the rooftops of Coruscant, you will be locked onto the Mantis until you go install that patch. This lockdown time will allow you to finally discover where you pick up your pre-order bonuses as they can be a bit hard to find at times.
