With Madden 24 approaching we still have not gotten an exact answer as to who will be this year’s cover athlete from EA. Few players stand out as the answer to this question. There are many players who came from a good season and some who are really popular either way.
Below, we will give our honest prediction as to who will be the cover athlete for Madden 24 and why.
Madden 24 predicted cover athlete
We don’t think anyone like John Madden and Tom Brady could grace the cover of Madden again and wide receivers and defensive players are rarely chosen now. Out of all the players in the NFL three cover athlete candidates are on our minds when thinking of the cover athlete:
- Joe Burrow
- Jalen Hurts
- Patrick Mahomes
These three players just came off of great seasons with great playoff stats and performances. We’ll explain the reasoning for each in detail below.
We know that the real answer will come on June 7, 2023, as shown by a tweet from the EA Madden NFL Twitter. In this tweet, Rob Gronkowski looks through covers and teases another athlete. Rob announced his retirement in June 2022, so we most likely will not see him grace the cover.
Predicted Madden NFL 24 cover athlete – Joe Burrow
Joe Burrow just came off a great playoff run for the second time after last year’s push to win the Super Bowl. This year they made it all the way to the 2022 to 2023 AFC Championship and lost to the Kansas City Chiefs. Though they did not go out without a fight as Joe Burrow and the Bengals only lost 23-20. Joe Burrow has been performing really well for the Bengals since he came into the league.
Predicted Madden NFL 24 cover athlete – Jalen Hurts
Jalen Hurts just came off of a Super Bowl attempt losing in the Super Bowl the Kansas City Chiefs losing 38 – 35. Jalen Hurts was having an outstanding season leading the Philadelphia Eagles through the playoffs in the 2022 to 2023 season and into the Super Bowl after losing the year before to the Buccaneers. Jalen Hurts and the Philidelphia Eagles showed that they’re a problem and could possibly be a problem in the future.
Predicted Madden NFL 24 cover athlete – Patrick Mahomes
Patrick Mahomes Just came off another great season after winning the 2022 to 2023 Super Bowl to continue to add to his impressive resume. This adds another Super Bowl and gives him his second win after losing last year in the AFC Championship to the Bengals. Great would be an understatement when talking about Patrick Mahomes.
He has been Dominating the NFL for the past three years without any sign of slowing down. He is constantly proving why he’s one of the best quarterbacks in the league.
