Is Mortal Kombat 1 Online Stress Test on PC?

The release of Mortal Kombat 1 is quickly approaching, but before it releases, Netherrealm Studios is doing a stress test to make sure the online infrastructure is ready to go.

The stress test will give players an opportunity to play online with their friends and try out the many characters on the roster. Those in the test will also get to play the single-player Klassic Tower mode.

Players can expect the stress test to hit multiple consoles when it goes live. Even if you can’t test on a laptop, you can still learn how other platforms have taken it. Those who want to join will need to sign up so they can give it a try. Of all the consoles it is one, however, will it be on PC? Is the Mortal Kombat 1 Online Stress Test on PC?

Will the Mortal Kombat 1 Online Stress Test be on PC?

WB Games has confirmed that the Mortal Kombat 1 online stress test will not be available on PC. Instead, the test will only be available for those on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

While this is unfortunate, this doesn’t mean that PC players will be entirely excluded. The game will be on PC when it fully releases. Mortal Kombat 1 will also feature crossplay sometime after release. To join the stress test, you will need to sign up on the Stress Test Sign-Up site.

During sign-up, you will need to choose if you are playing on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S. Afterward, you will have a chance to get an online invitation through your email, officially inviting you to join the test.

Only those who reside in North America, Latin America, Brazil, and Europe will be able to join the network test. An internet connection will be required to download and play the game during the test. You will not need to have an online subscription or membership like an Xbox Live Gold Membership or PlayStation Plus.

Many are looking forward to the network test. Keep an eye out for other betas in the future prior to the full release of the game.
