Before the release of Mortal Kombat 1, Netherrealm Studios and WB Games are having a true stress test to make sure the online infrastructure is ready. If you want the chance to try out some of the reimagined characters of Mortal Kombat 1, you will want to sign up.
The Mortal Kombat 1 stress test will only be available for a limited time on select consoles. If you miss out on this test, there may not be future betas to try. Also, remember that you can’t play this on a laptop.

Mortal Kombat 1 – Is the Online Stress Test Cross Platform?
Unfortunately, the Mortal Kombat 1 Online Stress Test is not cross-platform. This means that those playing on different consoles will not be able to play online together. This is not like the full game which will receive cross-platform play sometime after launch.
The stress test will begin on Friday, June 23, and last for a short while. Those who are interested in joining the stress test can do so by going to the stress test sign-up site and signing in with their WB account.
Only those in North America, Latin America, Brazil, and Europe will be allowed to join the stress test at this time. The test is available for those on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. Because this is an online stress test, an internet connection will be required but subscription services like an Xbox Live Gold Membership or PlayStation Plus will not.
Players will get the chance to try out the online multiplayer in the stress test with those who are on the same console. They will also get the chance to try out the single-player Klassic Towers game mode. Be sure to sign up for the stress test if you haven’t already for your chance to join in on the fun.
