Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Raids are one of the standout features of the game – testing teamwork, communication and trust. But for those who perhaps don’t have many friends with the game, you weren’t able to enjoy the mode. Until now…

You can now take part in Raids with randoms and search for parties that speak your language.

As part of the MW2 Reloaded update, which brought with it a host of new weapons, maps and bug fixes, it’s easy to realize how this amazing feature went under the radar.

But it’s an important update and really helps make Raids accessible for more people. Previously, you needed to have friends who had the game and were online to play the mode.

It’s going down a storm on the Reddit community, as you’d expect. “Wow…thanx for the info man. Maybe I’ll finally be able to play raids,” said one user on the MW2 sub-Reddit.

Now, be careful what you wish for. Matching with randoms does bring its dangers, which some MW2 fans are finding out the hard way.

One user wrote: “Took me four attempts with episode 1, 3 attempts where one random would usually rage… the last time I matched with two people who were friends and they were in it for the long haul and we got it done. Took two hours but we did it.”

Another added: “Yep, and it’s full of ******* morons who give up at the first puzzle.”

Rage quits are fine in multiplayer (well, sort of), but in Raids where the team relies on trust and communication, a rage quit can have serious implications and puts the mission in jeopardy.

Infinity Ward added a new Raid chapter when MW2 Season 2 Reloaded landed earlier this month.

The new mission continues on from Atomgrad Episode 1, which saw gamers play as Captain Price, Farah, and Gaz to find a ballistic missile.
