Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Season 4 is almost upon us and fans of the series are eager to go guns blazing through the streets of Vondel. Both MW2 and Warzone will be updated so players will need to prepare for a pretty large download.
Like most updates to the game, players can expect new weapons, game modes, maps, and more. You can also expect a new battle pass. What time can I preload MW2 Season 4? It seems that PlayStation owners can now update!
No matter what platform you are playing the game on, you should be able to preload the Season 4 update at around 10am PDT | 1pm EST | 6pm BST on June 13 – one day prior to when Season 4 launches. This is an approximate time and has not been confirmed.
For PlayStation users luckily – the update is now live. This was confirmed by CharlieIntel on Twitter who has confirmed that PlayStation users have been granted access to preload the update, other platforms will still need to wait.
Season 3 Reloaded’s update time was delayed and that could happen here. Keep an eye on the official Infinity Ward Twitter page for updates involving delays to the update time. The official start time for the update is June 14 at 9am PST | 12pm EST | 5pm BST.

To preload the game, simply go to the game on your system and check it for updates. This is typically done by pressing the options button while highlighting the game. If you have the game set to auto-update, it should automatically update when you turn on the system if the update is available.
Once the update is installed on your system, you will simply need to wait until the official launch time to start playing on the new maps.

Update sizes are typically different depending on what console you have. If you are playing the game on PlayStation, PlayStation Game Size on Twitter predicts the full game download to be 63.911GB, which makes the download size for Season 4 to be 23.087GB. Those playing on Xbox Series X/S can probably expect a download size of around 25GB.
Since writing this, CharlieIntel has also confirmed via Twitter that the file size for PS5 players will be 16GB, this was slightly off our prediction however still relatively close. It’s to remain how big Xbox and PC will be which should be revealed in a few hours.
