If you’ve been in any New World server, Reddit or another forum, chances are you have heard about how much of a walking simulator New World is. However, it is not all walking, as New World teleporting is a thing, requiring Azoth. Here is how to fast travel in New World.
How to Fast Travel in New World
If you want to know how to fast travel in New World, it is easy to learn. All you need to do is open up the world map and click on any zones. Find the settlement in that zone, and you can spend your Azoth to fast travel there. However, there are a few caveats you need to beat to work.
New World Fast Travel requirements
Unlocking New World fast travel is an important part of getting across Aeternum. But, to do it, you need to do the following:
- Visit the settlement
- Have enough Azoth
New World fast travel does not work if you have not yet visited the settlement you want to travel to. It does mean that the early game of your character will require you to use their legs and go out into the world and find these new zones and their associated settlements.
Furthermore, you need the right amount of Azoth stored to fast travel to the location. The further away the settlement is, the more it will cost to teleport to. We are not sure about the exact cost per distance ratio, but it appears that it gets more expensive if you go from one end to the other. If you are only fast travelling from one neighbouring settlement to the other, you may pay up to 90 or so Azoth, which is fairly easy to acquire from almost anything in the game.
New World Teleport
Instead of spending New World Azoth currency, you can set up a city as your home instead of an inn. Taking up residence in an inn allows you to teleport to that settlement once every hour for free. Moreso, if you buy a house in a settlement, you will then be able to teleport to that settlement’s house for free, the same way you can with an inn. This will only be available for the players who love making money in MMOs, but, over time, you should be able to buy a few residences and teleport to them by the time you reach max level.
