- Jonathan Huberdeau (92 Overall) – Calgary Flames
- Artemi Panarin (92 Overall) – New York Rangers
- Alex Ovechkin (92 Overall) – Washington Capitals
- Brad Marchand (91 Overall) – Boston Bruins
- Kirill Kaprizov (91 Overall) – Minnesota Wild
- Johnny Gaudreau (90 Overall) – Columbus Blue Jackets
- Matthew Tkachuk (90 Overall) – Florida Panthers
- Kyle Connor (90 Overall) – Winnipeg Jets
- Gabriel Landeskog (89 Overall) – Colorado Avalanche
- Filip Forsberg (89 Overall) – Nashville Predators
In comparison to the right wings in NHL 23, the left wings have more 90+ overalls and a greater range of talent in their Top 10 as a whole. Although Ovechkin did not receive the number one left winger spot, he still remains to be as elite as ever and NHL 23 recognized that by having him tie for first place at 92 overall.

Despite Forsberg replacing Guentzel this year, everyone on this NHL 22 list is back on Top 10 in NHL 23. Though there’s not many new faces, there was a lot of fluctuation from game to game. After Ovechkin secured the number one spot last year, Huberdeau’s big 2021-22 propelled him to be ranked as the best left wing in the game.
