Overwatch 2 is finally on Steam and there are some pretty nasty reviews. It didn’t take long for the game to get over 100,000 reviews with Steam’s review rating stating that they are overwhelmingly negative. To say that we are surprised would be an exaggeration considering Blizzard has been under fire for changes to the game’s heroes and a huge lack of PvE story missions.

Many have compared Overwatch 2 to the original Overwatch and are now upset that the original’s servers have been shut down. Now, if you want to enjoy the different game modes the old one offered, it must be done on the new game. Complaints have been piling high. If you thought microtransactions were the worst of it, you haven’t seen the reviews.

With so many negative Steam reviews, Overwatch 2 is one of the most disliked games on the platform. While the gameplay is very similar to the original, many are unsure whether to call Overwatch 2 a successful game. We have collected some of the most brutal and funny reviews to give Blizzard and Overwatch a proper roasting.

Overwatch 2 – The best negative Steam reviews

We have gathered five reviews that are absolutely worthy of being shown off. These reviews truly show how bad Overwatch 2 can be and how not everyone in the general public loves the game.

Rehashing the Allegations

In our first entry, Argg states “I don’t know which Blizzard treats worse, its players or its female employees.” Ouch. This, of course, references the numerous sexual misconduct allegations that Blizzard has faced over the last few years. Of course, with how the company is viewed to a number of fans, it is easy to see how the parallel is drawn.

Tasteful Imagery

The second reviewer, TheHQ98, couldn’t help themselves but create a tasteful image that shows how they feel about the game. Many are feeling this way and Blizzard certainly has become the butt of the joke thanks to the lack of care Overwatch 2 has received. If only there was a community out there with ideas that the company could listen to. There isn’t? Oh well.

Back to Team Fortress 2

While MasterPusheen isn’t the first reviewer to comment with a link to Team Fortress 2, it deserves a highlight since many users have compared Overwatch to Team Fortress, saying that Team Fortress is a far better version of the game. Multiple users have also given the suggestion for gamers to switch over to Paladins. Both are fine games that deserve some recognition.

Honorable Mention – The “Good” Review

As an honorable mention, Dasook took it upon themselves to create a good review, stating the “part where Zenyatta said ‘experience nothingness’ and then nothing happened with the PvE content,” was something they loved. This, of course, is in reference to the PvE story missions that are guarded behind a paywall, forcing many to pay for additional content that should’ve been available at launch.

The NSFW option

ChilledEV gave the suggestion of going to view some of the game’s many NSFW videos and images, stating “At least that has effort.” This is referring to the many NSFW videos and images that appeared following the launch of the original game that has no way decreased with the launch of Overwatch 2. We won’t comment on the rest of it.

Screen Cleaning

The final review on our list comes from user IFightForTheUsers and it shows how much they love the game. Thanks to the black screen that they were shown, they were able able to clean their monitor. For this, the game definitely gets a 10 out of 10. Overwatch 2 is doing its part to keep screens everywhere nice and clean.
