How to Get Pearl Glosshide in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak
Pearl Glosshide is dropped by Khezu, which are powerful monsters. Unless you have high-quality gear, it can be difficult to take down these monsters.
To fight Khezu, you need to complete the 2-star quest “Alabaster Devourer.”
Killing the Khezu is not enough to get the Pearl Glosshide farm in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. You have to attack the Khezu’s legs with a weapon to get access to Pearl Glosshide. While you can cut Glosshide from the monster’s body, the drop rate is just 37% compared to the 100% drop rate when attacking legs with a weapon.
Here is a breakdown of all the drop rates when killing Khezu:
- Khezu Target Reward: 16% Chance
- Khezu Capture Reward: 15%
- Attacking Legs With Weapon: 100% Drop Rate
- Carve Pearl Glosshide From Body: 37% Chance
- Killing Khezu: 50% Chance
If you want to guarantee a Pearl Glosshide farm drop, you should continuously attack its legs during the fight. After a kill, you also have a chance of getting another Pearl Glosshide. Each fight can offer more than three Glosshide with a bit of strategy and luck
Currently, the Khezu Coil, Greaves, Helm, and Mail are the only items that require Pearl Glosshide and you may need to fight quite a bit of Khezu to get access to the endgame armor set.
We recommend getting a few hunters to join your cause as fighting the monster solo can take you much longer to farm Pearl Glosshide and it is always good to have some company by your side in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak’s difficult content.
