Pokemon Scarlet & Violet is coming this week, so we present our Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Countdown.

Many fans are excited to get their hands on the next wave of mainline Pokemon games.

Get ready to countdown to the release if you don’t already have the game that is.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet will release at the following times worldwide:

It’s mainly a midnight local launch for every region except Pacific time zones. This means that everyone can enjoy the game at the same time unless they manage to get the game early through their local stores that may have broken street dates and be selling the game early.

What Are The New Features?

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet is adding brand new multiplayer to the game, in what is a franchise first. While you’ve been able to battle other trainers for years in addition to trading your Pokemon, this is the first time you’ll be able to stand side by side with other players and participate in Team Raid battles.

The game also uses an open-world style taken from Pokemon Legends Arceus. While the last set of games, Sword and Shield, had a slightly cut-down open area called the Wild Area, this time, we’re getting the whole open-ended experience.

It’s not immediately clear how many features from Legends Arceus will make the jump, but we’re excited to find out more when the game launches on 18 November 2022.

Will The Game Get DLC?

It’s possible that Nintendo is also looking to add DLC to the game further down the line, seeing as Pokemon Sword and Shield had the first expansion in the series.

While the existence of an expansion isn’t confirmed yet, it’s a reasonable thing to expect, and will likely add a whole new region to explore with the possibility of both brand new legendary Pokemon and brand new Pokemon in the general open-world to catch and become friends with.
