Street Fighter 6 hype is growing – and with the demo now out and gamers finally getting their hands on Capcom’s latest game, all attention is on when you’ll be able to preload it ahead of release. Right now you can download the demo for free, but you’ll need to pre-order the game to see when preload takes place. Let’s take a look.

When can you preload Street Fighter 6?

Ahead of the game’s release on June 2, according to the PlayStation Store Street Fighter 6 preload will begin on May 31 2023. This means you’ll have a 48 window to download and preload the game ahead of it going live. Usually, the game will start to auto-preload if you have this enabled, and unless we hear otherwise, expect that to start at midnight for your region. If you have downloaded the demo, which is around 25GB, it’s at this point that we would recommend deleting to free up space and avoid cluttering up your UI.

In terms of download size, the Xbox store reveals you’ll need around 50 GB of space to play the game. We can assume this will be similar across all platforms.

One of the big draws of Street Fighter 6 is its highly evolved combat system with three control types – Classic, Modern and Dynamic – allowing you to quickly play to your skill level. There’s even a World Tour mode, which lets you create an Avatar and explore Metro City, learning new fighting techniques. For those looking to try before they buy, the demo can be downloaded now on Xbox, PS and PC platforms.
