Dying Light 2 is the hotly anticipated sequel to one of the best zombie games out there thanks to its raw slashing and creative parkour elements. However, akin to Techland’s other zombie-killing franchise Dead Island, it’s the co-op feature of the franchise that most are looking forward to.

Due to this co-op feature, and the sheer amount of fun it brings with it, fans of the IP are hoping, praying, that they can play with their friends no matter what console they’re on. The feature fans are clambering for is called crossplay and is all the rage these days thanks to many cross-platform games knocking down the barriers between console exclusivity. However, not all new titles have crossplay so it’s always a question that needs to be asked and answered prior to jumping straight into the worlds developers have created.

Without further ado, let’s get into the raw facts around Dying Light 2’s crossplay functionality.

Will you get to experience that all-important co-op Dying Light 2 action with your friends on other platforms? Sadly, no, it doesn’t look like that’s going to be the case on launch, unfortunately, with Techland coming out and officially stating that the feature won’t be available.

However, not all hope is lost. While there was concrete confirmation that Dying Light 2 will not have crossplay on launch, Tymon Smektala, Lead Game Designer on the title, has alluded that it’s not out the question for Dying Light 2 having the feature in the future. Smektala’s official words on crossplay were ‘no, not at this moment suggesting that it’s something that could come further down the road.

We will update this page as soon as any more information drops about Dying Light 2 crossplay so that you know when or if you’re able to get your zombie killing going with your friends across multiple platforms.
