One of the big game titles launching in 2024, there is certainly a lot of excitement surrounding it. But if you don’t want to spend on a new expensive game or don’t have the firepower to run it then there are alternatives. Therefore we see if Starfield will be on Xbox Game Pass or GeForce Now.

As the Starfield release date looms the anticipation looms. As it comes closer, the preload times and early access come closer for us to enjoy. But buying the game outright is not the only way to enjoy them anymore. As the PC Game Pass subscription gets you access to plenty of games with it, while Nvidia GeForce Now lets you stream games from a server with strong hardware, especially useful when you don’t meet the system requirements of a game. Now we’ll see if you can find Starfield on these.

Is Starfield on Game Pass?

Yes! Starfield will be on Xbox Game Pass on day one when it launches in September. This is great news for those who want to wait for the release of the game to play it instead of pre-ordering it or purchasing other editions for early access. Those with an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription will also be able to stream the game on Xbox One. Now that Microsoft and Bethesda have agreed on a deal to have the games on the platform, it’s not a surprise that Starfield has landed on Xbox Game Pass too.

Since Microsoft’s acquisition of Bethesda Game Studios in 2021 it is expected that most of the games from the publisher will hit Game Pass. And that has been the case, as you can find the likes of Deathloop, Quake, Doom, Fallout, and even Skyrim available to gamers to install with the subscription.

In fact, you can find Starfield available to Game Pass members right now, as announced at the Xbox Games showcase. It does only offer up the standard edition of the game, and not the premium edition. Although you can just get it as an upgrade instead of having to buy it at full price. That costs $30 extra to upgrade to the PC Game Pass subscribers edition. This is the same on the console as the page tells us it is playable on PC and Xbox Series X/S.

Game Pass Subscribers won’t need to worry about the pre-order bonuses because the Game Pass edition of the game will include them. The following items are included with the Game Pass edition of the game:

    • Laser Cutter
    • Deep Mining Helmet
    • Deep Mining Pack

Subscribers will also get access to the base game. There are other pre-order bonuses and items that you can get with the other versions of the game such as the Premium Edition and the Constellation Edition.

Items not included with Game Pass are the digital artbook, original soundtrack, Constellation Skin Pack, and the Shattered Space Story expansion. Those who get the game through Xbox Game Pass will get the standard edition of the game.

Remember, the Xbox Game Pass version of Starfield comes at no additional cost outside of the standard payment you m

Is Starfield on GeForce Now?

As one of the streaming services available, Nvidia’s GeForce Now enables you to stream gameplay from a gaming PC on a server somewhere. There are three levels of membership for the service, ranging from free, priority, to ultimate. These give you different performances and experiences on the platform but all give you access to the game servers.

Currently, the service gives you a good option for those with low-spec PCs to get an enjoyable experience playing games. At the time of writing, there is no information on whether the game is going to be coming to the service. Although the streaming service doesn’t support Game Pass so you won’t be able to play it on launch at least as it currently features Steam, Epic, Ubisoft, EA, and GOG.

This doesn’t mean it will never come to the service but still may take some time to get there. Currently, select PC games available with 1,500+ titles so we could expect Starfield down the line. An alternative could be Xbox cloud gaming, Microsoft’s own streaming service. Although it’s not there yet other Bethesda titles are so you could see it in the coming months as well.
