The Diablo 4 open beta is fast becoming a distant memory, and with the release date seemingly miles away, many Diablo fans are asking if there will be another chance to play the game. That’s where we come in. Here we go through whether or not another playtest is coming, the chances of one appearing and if so, what it could include.

The open beta gave players a first taste of the campaign via the Prologue and the entirety of Act 1. The first zone, Fractured Peaks, was available to explore and you could level up to a max level of 25. The beta-supported couch and online co-op, while vanquishing demons while near any player granted you 5% bonus experience and 10% if you were near a member of your party.

The downside is that any progress from the Diablo 4 beta does not carry over, so when the game does release, you’ll have to start all over again. When the Open Beta ended, Blizzard wrote on the website: “We’ll evaluate all feedback we’ve received and will make changes as needed. We look forward to you experiencing this small taste of what Diablo IV has to offer”.

So, will there be another Diablo 4 beta? Here’s everything you need to know.

Will there be another Diablo 4 beta?

Yes! There is going to be another beta! It’s called Server Slam and will be taking place over the weekend starting May 12 and ending May 14. The beta will give you a chance to reach level 20, beat Ashava, and claim the unique Cry of Ashava Mount Trophy. You can check out all the Server Slam rewards here.

When is the next Diablo 4 Beta?

The next Diablo 4 Beta starts on May 12 and ends on May 14.

When were the last Diablo IV Betas?

Prior to this news, hopes were thin on the ground that another beta would come along before launch. The only information prior on the official website read:

  • Early Access to the Open Beta begins March 17 at 9am PDT and concludes March 20 at 12pm PDT.
  • The Open Beta begins March 24 at 9am PDT and concludes March 27 at 12pm PDT.

We’re not surprised another playtest has managed to edge in of launch. The game proved to be hugely popular, and so could theoretically encourage more preorders, while after the last beta, a number of bugs and errors were posted on the official forum. Another open-beta playtest could be another great way of gathering intel and improving the game ahead of launch.

Remember, Blizzard has confirmed there is early access for the game. Those with either the Deluxe or Ultimate edition pre-orders will be able to play from midnight June 2 if in the UK. Gamers in the US will be able to get early access from 4pm PT on June 1.

Can I still play the Diablo 4 Open beta?

Nope. If you try to explore the open beta, you’re greeted with a page simply saying it has ended. But with the Server Slam coming up, you’ll get another chance to play Diablo 4 ahead of its release.

Is the Diablo 4 beta over?

The old betas are over but a new one is coming.

How long did the Diablo 4 open beta last?

There were two parts to the  Diablo 4 open beta. Early Access to the Open Beta kicked off on March 17 at 9am PDT and ended March 20 at 12 pm PDT. This was followed by an open beta from March 24 to March 27.
