The XDefiant closed beta is currently happening – giving gamers a chance to check out Ubisoft’s new free-to-play arena shooter. If you want to know how to get involved, check out our how to get into the XDefiant Closed Beta piece – which gives you everything you need to know.

Sadly, for those who have managed to get on to the limited play test, some are being greeted with an error code: Delta-07. So, what is it and is there a way of fixing it? Here’s what you need to know.

What is XDefiant error code Delta-07?

Upon hours of the closed beta starting up, this error code made its way on to Reddit. It’s thpught that it’s something to do with the server. You’ll essentially time out as you try to load into a match. One gamer explains the issue well: “I get the same either after every match or when I launch the game. I just keep trying to connect and at some points it works for some reason (like after 3-4 times) But really annoying this happening at the end of every match.”

The good news is that a handful of people have managed to fix it, which we detail below.

How to fix XDefiant error code Delta-07

The simple fixes are restart the game and this seems to work. Failing that, connect to a wired internet connection, as these are typically more stable than wireless connections.

Once you’re in change “Enabled Reduced Latency” to No – there seems to be a correlation with that and the frequency of the error occurring. If none of these fixes work, make sure to log the issue with Ubisoft, on their dedicated bug reporting page, that way there may be a hotfix or something else they can do. You can also visit the official Ubisoft help page, where they have a ton of information and may be able to provide further support if you’re having issues.

XDefiant doesn’t have a firm release date as yet, but our very own Rob Dwiar was impressed when he had a hands-on with the game at an exclusive Ubisoft event prior to the beta. He wrote: “For me, however, it does have all the makings of a quickfire FPS game that my friends and I might be tempted to dive into headfirst; though for how long, I’m not sure.”
