The genre is definitely more popular these days. But with a slight twist to it and a different look, this one brings Pinnochio to the fold. No longer a small puppet given life, this one has some weapons skills. Now we see what it takes to run the game and the best GPU for Lies of P for you who have a great experience.
The release date for Lies of P was set for the 18th of September 2023. It sat high in the wishlist database and enjoyed a good demo period. Now along with early access, many are enjoying yet another Soulslike game, but if you’re not sure you can run it or are looking for an upgrade then we bring you a list of the best options for the job.
GPU required for Lies of P
When deciding on the best GPU for the job, we have to first see what’s required and give us the range of cards to go for. As such we look to the Lies of P system requirements to find how power is actually required to run the game and what is recommended for you to have for your hardware.
Overall the requirements for the game are nothing too demanding. As for the minimum requirements you need at least an AMD RX 560 or Nvidia GTX 960. While recommended, it is increased to an RX 6500 XT or GTX 1660. All of them are only 4 or 6GB cards and mostly older hardware not even requiring the latest as without an RTX card we don’t expect much hardware ray tracing.

- Ridged backplate provides 33% more surface area for heat dissipation
- A quieter choice of model
- More expensive than the base price
At the top of our list is the most recent addition to the lineup of graphics card choices. The RX 7800 XT is a great choice for all-round gaming. It came out alongside the RX 7700 XT which doesn’t quite make the price point stick but it fills in the gap RDNA 3 had in it for a long time and provides a good alternative to what Nvidia had to offer.
The card targets 1440p gaming at a minimum. Although Lies of P is not a demanding game you will be able to push 4K without needing much more. Especially as 7800 XT benchmarks have shown it to be capable of running certain games at that level. You get all that for a considerably lower price than many GPUs at this level and generation.
The XFX card in particular is an AMD exclusive option. But it provides great cooling with its design and tends to be smaller in thickness. Especially as the TBP of 263 W does require keeping in check and making sure no performance is lost.

- Impressive build quality
- Brilliant aesthetic
- Inexpensive
- only a dual-fan design
For the runner-up, we turn to Nvidia and its new-gen range. The RTX 4070 is still one of the better options in this case. With a good performance without the extortionate price on top, it is a good middle ground to get the latest tech with the performance alongside.
With the power to achieve up to even 4K, it does give you a wider range of capabilities to play anything really. With 12GB of memory and 200W, it brings good safety for current and future games too while not taking up too much power doing so.
ASUS Dual model brings a good design to the GPU as well. With only two fans, it isn’t the biggest choice as it doesn’t require too much cooling. Along with an overclock it stands out above what the factory clock has to offer with just that bit extra on top.

- Overclocked model for improved performance offering
- Small size able to fit in most cases and avoids any sag
For something that aims at 1080p and nothing that will break the bank the RX 7600 is a good choice of GPU to go for. It brings all the latest improvements and keeps to price to the lowest out of the lot. Allowing you to enjoy the power at a good price, even though it’s not quite at the level of many generations previously.
Focused on 1080p it does give you a good entry into the gaming market. Especially when you’re looking to build the best budget gaming PC it is a good choice of card to get the latest on the new-gen instead of looking at the past offerings.
MSI is always a solid manufacturer of graphics cards as well. The Mech 2X keeps the size down and keeps the temperature under wraps as it is overclocked too and gets the performance higher than the rest available.

For a good value GPU, we look to the previous generation. The RTX 3060 is another great 1080p graphics card. The card is so popular it is in fact second on the Steam survey chart for most used GPU after the GTX 1650, and with it being older you can tend to find it at an even cheaper price to get an even better value over it.
It is a lot more focused on 1080p without all the extras on top of the RTX 40 series, such as frame generation. Although you still have DLSS and ray tracing to get you access to some key features of recent generations and for a lower price.
As for the particular model, we’ve gone with EVGA, who no longer produce cards but are known for the good quality and performance they have produced. This means you get to have a piece of history to treasure while it works well to keep your performance up and temps down.

- ITX form factor to fit compact cases
- Runs cool at stock
- Succeptible to loud operation
- Limited OC capability
- Plain and no RGB options
At the lowest level of specification, the RX 6500 XT is all you need to play the game. It does suffer from limited PCIe bandwidth so for full performance you need a PCIe 4 motherboard to get the most out of one of the bottom RDNA 2 GPUs.
It is very much a 1080p card that under $200 provides a performance over 60FPS in benchmarks. It might not be the best choice overall for everything but for those on a tighter budget and wanting to enjoy an entry-level machine with Esports titles in mind it can be a good choice.
The PowerColor card also provides a very small card for it as well. An ITX model can fit in many builds, even though it’s not quite the low profile option that can fit a good sleeper PC. But it still only has a TDP of 107W so it’s a strong choice for minimum builds.
Best GPU for Lies of P final word
There you have a whole range of the best GPUs for Lies of P. All of them will give you a great performance in the game and let you enjoy it in a range of different scenarios with no issues. You’ll want to also make sure you have the best CPU for the job as well or if you’d rather enjoy it on console, then you might enjoy it on PS4.
