As Nvidia prepared to launch its new set of hardware, it was only inevitable for all the information to come out before the announcement itself. That’s where we find the RTX 4070 Super specs after the leaks and rumors we finally get the final look at what the GPUs have on offer.

The new range of Super was announced just before 2024’s CES convention, the beloved tech demonstration that brings us plenty of fun toys to look out for. With that, the announcement comes a few weeks before the actual release of the graphics cards themselves, with the RTX 4070 Super release date being the first of the bunch of the lot on the 17th of January. Followed by the RTX 4070 Ti Super and RTX 4080 Super releases down the month.

With this choice, you may consider where to buy the RTX 4070 Super as well so you can enjoy the upgrade if you find it a good choice of card. In that case, let’s see what the card has to offer.

Confirmed RTX 4070 Super specs

With three new graphics cards on the way, the RTX 4070 Super will be the first of the lot. Much like previously, all the information pretty much came out beforehand. But let’s take a look at what the RTX 4070 Super specs have to offer and how they change from the original card.

  • GPU: AD104-350
  • CUDA cores: 7,168
  • Memory: 12GB GDDR6X
  • Memory bus: 192-bit
  • Clock rate: 1,980MHz base, 2,475MHz boost
  • Memory clock: 21Gbps
  • Memory Bandwidth: 504GB/s
  • TGP: 220W
  • Power connector: 12VHPWR

Compared to the base RTX 4070, this provides an increase of 3.1% in the base clock (60Hz) and a 21.7% (1,280) increase in the CUDA core count. However, that comes at a cost, as the card is the only one that increases its power consumption. Jumping up 10% by 20W while also requiring the 12VHPWR connector for it. That can still provide a small boost in performance whilst keeping at the same price.

FAQs

Does the RTX 4070 Super exist?

Yes the RTX 4070 Super has been confirmed at Nvidia’s CES 2024 event. Updating the range of Ada GPUs with some slight changes that might be a bit more appealing.

Is the RTX 4070 Super different to the RTX 4070?

Yes, much like a Ti model, the RTX 4070 Super brings a core count and TGP boost over the base RTX 4070 model. This makes it a different GPU that you can pick from in the Ada lineup.
