Google’s current Pixel Watch was met with a mixed bag of opinions at launch and while not perfect, it’s still a solid all-round Android option. Many love the minimalist design, seamless integration with Google-based apps and services, along with general reliability. Unfortunately, the battery life wasn’t the best, it only came in one size, and it was missing key health & fitness tracking features.
So there is plenty of room for improvement but not bad for a first pop right? A gen 2 Pixel Watch can seriously knock it out of the park, especially with the overall design and the OS both being incredibly strong. Google is yet to announce any such development, however, we are hopeful to see a Pixel Watch 2 release date later in the year.

Battery life
The Google Pixel Watch’s current battery life is around 24 hours but it would only live up to this if you limited GPS use and fitness tracking. When you factor in why many buy a smartwatch and what the competition can provide, this can become a bit of an issue.
Having to periodically charge your watch isn’t the biggest problem in modern times but good developers strenghthen this area for a possible next gen update? We hope so. On the plus side, the fast charging capabilities never have you waiting that long for a full charge but this is more or less competition-wide.
Improved health & fitness tracking
The current Pxiel watch trakcing includes what they call “the best of Fitbits leading health and fitness features” and accurate heart rate monitoring. Users can access the basic activity data stored but also can utilize Fitbit’s premium health tracking features too.
While none of this is bad, there is nothing innovative here either. Infact, when it comes to fitness and health tracking, several of its competitors do it better. If Google released a next-generation Pixel watch, we want to see it at least match the likes of Apple, Samsung, and Fitbit.
More size options
The current Pixel Watch is only available in 41mm diameter, with four color combinations to choose from. We want to see Google up the ante and offer a larger size for those that love bigger smartwatches. Apple currently lets you choose between a 41mm and 45mm.
It is quite common to see manufacturers release a smartwatch with one size but if Google can capitalize on variety in the future, we could see them take a lions share. In our opinion the Google Pixel watch features one of the nicest designs around, so anything to improve upon that wouldn’t go amiss
