The Apple Vision Pro has a terrible battery life
The Vision Pro is an amazing MR / VR headset, we cannot deny it, nor are we going to. However, the fact of the matter remains that this device has to be plugged in a powered by an external battery so the 2-hour battery life could be easily boosted with a larger power cell, maybe that’ll happen we don’t know.
Trusted reviews state that 2 hours is on par with other standalone VR devices like the Meta Quest 2, however, that has an integrated battery, so we can’t really do anything about that. It is advised that to use a VR headset in a healthy manner the user should not spend more than 2 hours per session hooked up to one. So if this 2-hour battery life is an intentional limit then, although good for health concerns, annoys us that we have our playtime dictated by someone other than ourselves.
The external battery could easily be upgraded to allow users to enjoy for a little while longer, finish the movie they were watching, finish the document they were writing, or just one more game before bed. How many times have you been frustrated by a battery dying before you’re finished using it. It’s not a great experience.
The Vision Pro will launch in the US early in 2024 for a whopping $3.5K, for that price we’d expect the Vision Pro to come equipped with a small nuclear fission reactor and steam generator, but that’s just us.

Granted they do not have the same mobility, but chances are you’re not going to be walking around when gaming or watching a movie anyway. It would be nice to have the option to plug it into the wall. This is why
