A recent service error has rendered ChatGPT limp, upsetting a lot of people.
The issue is that we have become far too reliant on ChatGPT to make out lives easier, whilst it does that beautifully, a lot of places seemingly grind to a halt when that service is taken away.
One poor ChatGPT user on DownDetector had this to say about the ChatGPT outage:

Very concerning indeed, but should we really be awarding Masters degrees to people who use ChatGPT to pass them? One for the philosophers out there.
Joking, joking, I’m sure he’s very smart.
Do we use ChatGPT too much? And is it a problem?
I, personally believe that ChatGPT and chatbots alike do diminish our reasons to be social, but it seems like the logical next step. Older people complain that mobile phones took too much away from the social aspect, and they’re right.
Do I want CHatGPT to disappear? No, I just want people to not clutch it like they need it to run every aspect of their lives. I understand that ChatGPT is very useful to a lot of people and holds a lot of advantages, it knows stuff that you don’t. Well, so does a book, the internet, and maybe your friend. We still have those, right?
The point to this is that ChatGPT will always be there, it’s not going to disappear until it does and everyone goes nuts, but we, personally, need to enjoy life and others more. The AI age is advancing quickly. Soon there’s going to be no need to talk to anyone. And that makes me sad. ChatGPT goes down – We’re all in turmoil
