Corsair have just announced a new 240Hz OLED gaming monitor into its Xeneon lineup. it will be called the 27QHD240 and will go toe-to-toe with both LG and ASUS’ 27″ 1440p OLED monitor offerings.
Despite this monitor not offering the same bendable functionality as its bigger Xeneon Flex brother, that doesn’t stop this OLED monitor from being one of the best in today’s market.
The brand says that the gaming-tailored panel will feature a 240Hz refresh rate, 2560 x 1440 screen resolution, 0.03ms GTG response time, and VRR support for both G-sync and FreeSync systems.
Additionally, users can expect a 1000 nit peak brightness (take that with a pinch of salt) and a fully comprehensive game menu that allows complete control of both picture and color settings.
At this early stage, it’s unclear when this new 1440p 240Hz OLED gaming monitor will surface, however, the brand says they will confirm both price and release dates sometime in May, 2023.
Another 27″ OLED monitor set to hit shelves
While little information is currently public regarding the price and release date of this monitor, there is plenty when it comes to the specifications.
As we’ve already eluded to, the 27QHD240 will feature a 240Hz refresh rate, 1440p screen resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, and 27″ OLED display.
Looking at images of the monitor, users can expect some ergonomics from the stand, a wide V-shape base, and a cable management solution at the rear.
The panel itself will be designed by LG Display’s (as expected) and will be similar to the panels found in similar LG and ASUS offerings.
Ports will likely include 1 x DisplayPort 1.4, 2 x HDMI 2.1, and multiple USB ports – including a USB Type-C.
