Are There Multiple Endings in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
Although we don’t have official information about the ending of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, it’s very unlikely that the game will have multiple endings. There are two very crucial reasons for this assumption being made.
The first reason is that the prequel didn’t have multiple endings either, so it would be a pretty big jump to make the game go from a linear story-driven game to a game with multiple endings.
You have to remember that with multiple endings the path to making a sequel becomes all that much more complicated because you have different players with different endings and you have to cater to all of them.
Additionally, and the biggest reason we doubt the game will have multiple endings is that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a game that has been confirmed to be canon.
Having multiple endings will make the canon that much more unnecessarily convoluted, as the developers will have to make only one of the multiple endings canon. We’ll see when that happens.
With that being said, there’s a chance the developers might opt to go for multiple endings to give players a say in Cal’s story because of the fact that this game is being speculated as being the last of the series. However, we hardly doubt this will be the case because of the two reasons we mentioned above.
Final word
In conclusion, while players may have been hoping for multiple endings in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, it is unlikely that the game will go down that route. The lack of multiple endings in the prequel, as well as the complications that come with creating a sequel that caters to multiple endings, make it improbable that the developers will opt for this approach.
Furthermore, the fact that the game is confirmed to be canon only adds to the complications of having multiple endings. Although there is a chance that the developers might surprise us with multiple endings to give players more control over Cal’s story, the likelihood of this happening seems slim. Ultimately, players will have to wait and see how the game unfolds to see how the story of Cal Kestis ends.
