An extension of your arm, the connection between you and your PC, the humble mouse is a vital part of your setup. In that case, you may want to consider the Endgame Gear mice, now available in the Overclockers Black Friday sale. Its OP1we and XM2we wireless mice in particular are a good way to cut the cables for a budget too.

Endgame Gear is a small team from Berlin Germany, and they are bringing a new look and feel to the gaming market. Starting with the XM1, and expanding after that with more of them along with mousepads and more, it has a focus on Esports and getting the best out of your skills translated to the game. With simple but well-thought-out designs, this could be your next peripheral upgrade.

OP1we and XM2we specifications and features

The two highlights of the lineup consist of the wireless OP1we and XM2we, freeing you up from any cable drag you might experience. Making sure you don’t snatch on anything and miss those vital flicks. These mice are made to be lightweight and fast, so let’s see what makes them run.

As you can see they are rather well-built. With a wide range of great features to enjoy for your new gaming Esports mouse. Starting off with the sensor, you both mice utilize the PixArt PAW 3370, which with a fast response time makes sure even the quickest movements get picked up instantly.

That is also supported by the resolution and polling rate, coming in with a max of 19,000 CPI, 1,000 Hz, and 400 IPs. Combined provide a great response time so you can’t complain about it being your hardware holding you back this time. This is where the connectivity shines too as both of these come in with wireless, 2.4GHz dongle gives you a more stable connection as well. You don’t have to worry about interrupted Bluetooth but a more stable proper connection even if it comes in with USB 2.0 on the PC side. If you do keep it plugged in though, there is a supposedly different cable with the OP1 utilizing 4.0 instead of 3.0, but from the specs, there isn’t actually any difference between them.

You will also find the differences in the sizing and weight, the XM2 comes in slightly large in size, but it also fits in a bigger battery due to that. As it has a 75mAh larger capacity, you do get a longer time between charges to enjoy. Which does increase the weight to 63g (+0.5g for the white) compared to 58.5g of the OP1. So you do get a choice of what you prefer, size and battery or save on the weight.

The mice also utilize the Kailh GO Optical Switches for the primary buttons (left and right click) but the Kailh GM 2.0 switches for the secondary, which is only the two sides and scroll as they come with 5 buttons total, so not really MMO focused but certainly good for weight and value. They should also last you some time, with a rating of 80 million clicks on primary, and 20 million on secondary, they should last you some time yet. With the optical switches keep down the latency between your fingertips and inputs.

What we think of the mice

Both Endgame mice are very light and sleek, smaller than we’re used to but we see the appeal. The XM2we certainly suits our larger hand size and since we use the claw grip already it gives us a good feel and experience in using it. The skates and smoothness of the mouse are incredible, as it doesn’t drag along. Set up is simple too, plugging in with the dongle and adjusting the DPI is super quick and doesn’t even require software if you want to get straight in.

The OP1we is even smaller but even still it handles very well with a claw grip, fingertip users also do well with it. A palm grip may feel a bit giant on it, and your ring finger and pinky do get dragged along. But achieving wireless in such size and weight is incredible. We would recommend some grip tape but it certainly functions without it if you’re worried about the weight. When flicking it in games it was super smooth and easy especially without the cable dragging around, it certainly has Esports in mind.

The buttons also provide a very responsive use whether the clickers, side, or scroll all provide great feedback and satisfying clicking noise. Super responsive and well designed it certainly offers great value.
