The Fortnite feature would make the game so much better

The Fortnite Battle Royale has come a long way over the past few years. As a result, when Epic Games released Fortnite in 2017, the game was fairly straightforward. However, the last few years have brought a lot of new content for it, including many new features.
All of these updates have resulted in Fortnite becoming a worldwide sensation. As in 2024, the Battle Royale game has more than 500 million players in total. However, there is still one feature many players wish could be added. As a result, this feature is a must-have for such a popular game.
Fortnite needs to add an appear offline feature
With millions of players on a daily basis, Fortnite should have had better privacy features. While it is true Epic Games has improved this aspect of the game, there is still plenty of work to be done. In Fortnite, you can complete matches solo or in teams; with this many players, you’re bound to make new friends. However, while it’s great to have a large list of friends, sometimes you would like to hide and become invisible to them.
Unfortunately, Epic Games does not allow Fortnite players to hide themselves from their friends. Because of this, a lot of players will continuously get party invites from players they don’t want to match up with. Additionally, this is a lot a big problem for content creators. These creators have hundreds of friends in-game and it can become a problem when they need to record.
Currently, players can only choose between Online and Away. Unfortunately, the Away status still indicated that players are online, but they are just not active. Adding an Appear Offline feature would drastically improve the game, as players wouldn’t have to worry about unwarranted party invites. While teaming up with others is loads of fun, but that may not always be the case for some players.
With Fortnite Chapter 5 just around the corner, it’s possible Epic Games may release this feature. Considering the devs are working on big changes to the new user interface, the feature may arrive sooner than we expect!
