Epic Games releases much-needed Fortnite feature

Epic Games has released a much-needed controller feature for Fortnite. There is no doubt that PC Fortnite players always had an advantage in switching weapons, as they have various bind actions. However, in the recent v26.30 update, Epic Games released a new Beta feature for controller players.

This is a welcomed feature that will allow controller players to switch out weapons when enabled easily. This new feature will assist in leveling out the playing field between PC and Controller players. However, it is still in its Beta phase and will likely improve as time goes on. The Quick Weapon controller option is a much-needed Fortnite feature

Along with the Fortnitemares 2023 update, Epic Games has released plenty of new features. In the v26.30 update, Epic released a “Quick Weapon” action (in beta), which has been added to the Controller Options. When you enable this feature, it replaces the “Next Weapon” button. You can then press Quick Weapon to equip your primary item.

Additionally, you can simultaneously swap out an item using this new feature. You can also press the Quick Weapon feature to view the items and their corresponding buttons.

How to enable the Quick Weapon Fortnite feature

You can enable the Quick Weapon feature in Fortnite if you do the following steps:

1. Log into your Fortnite account
2. Select Menu and open Settings
3. Navigate to the Controller Options tab
4. Scroll down to Quick Weapon (Beta)
5. You can now enable the Quick Weapon feature
6. Click on Apply to save your settings

You can reset your settings if you dislike the new Quick Weapon feature. In addition, there are many more settings you can play with, such as the Diamond Delay and the Toggle Behavior. This new feature is a massive step for controller and console players. While PC Fortnite players will always have an advantage with the Keyboard keys, this new feature will allow controller players to navigate their weapons quickly.
