The v25.10 Fortnite update is just around the corner. If everything goes according to plan, Epic Games will release it on Tuesday, June 20. This will be the first major update of Chapter 4 – Season 3 and will bring a lot of new content.
Epic has released one thing that will come with it, which is a massive mobility change. In addition to this, there are a few more things that have been leaked and will likely come out with the update, from map changes to super styles.
Here are the early patch notes and everything we’re expecting in the upcoming update.
The upcoming Fortnite update will bring Shockwave Grenades back
Fortnite Chapter 4 – Season 3 has been generally fine so far, but many players have complained about the lack of mobility. Epic Games removed many mobility items at the start of the season, including ODM Gear, and that’s not something players were happy about.
Fortunately, this will change with the upcoming Fortnite update. The development team revealed the return of the Shockwave Grenade, a fan-favorite item. This item will drastically improve mobility, but it will only return in Zero Build modes.
There is a good chance that Epic Games will unvault the item in other modes as well. However, this change might come later in the season.
Since this is the first major update of Chapter 4 – Season 1, we might see super styles for Battle Pass skins come with it. These styles usually come with an early update, which is why the new Fortnite season will likely follow suit.
At the moment, no one knows what these styles will look like. However, Epic Games will likely release different colors of existing skins, such as purple and gold.
The v25.10 Fortnite update may also bring Airphoria, which is a Nike collaboration. According to reputable leakers, the new collab will bring a new UEFN map, and there is a good chance that many new cosmetic items will also arrive with it.
When it comes to cosmetics, Epic Games could release some new summer-themed skins with the update as well. Purradise Meowscles, a secret Battle Pass skin, will be unlockable in a few weeks as well.
Epic usually releases summer events in early July, which is why we expect to see event files in the next update.
Fortnite’s Ranked mode will also get a big change with the v25.10 update as a full rank reset will be performed with it. This will not impact urgent quests or rewards that players have earned from the mode.
Additionally, Season Zero of the ranked mode will end with the conclusion of Chapter 4 – Season 3. At the moment, the scheduled end date for the season is August 25.
The upcoming Fortnite update will likely bring many other changes, including minor changes to the in-game island. Considering that it’s a major update, Epic Games will take servers down for it, meaning that the video game won’t be available for a few hours.
