Having rare Fortnite items is a dream come true for every player. Epic Games has released numerous cosmetic items that have become extremely rare, and some of them haven’t come out in more than five years.
Considering that Fortnite is not even six years old, it’s quite impressive that some items haven’t been seen since the first year. However, Epic has clearly stated that many items, such as Battle Pass cosmetics, will never return to the game.
Item Shop cosmetics, on the other hand, will return at some point. This was the case with the Raptor glider, which recently returned to the Item Shop after being vaulted for nearly five years.
Epic Games brought back the rarest Fortnite glider
On Wednesday night, Epic Games brought back the Raptor glider to the Item Shop. Before its release, this was the rarest glider in the video game, as it was previously released to the shop on August 1, 2018.
The glider was first released in November 2017, which makes it one of the oldest cosmetic items ever released to Fortnite. Wednesday night was only its 10th Item Shop occurence in five and a half years.
With the release of Raptor, Heartspan is now the rarest Fortnite glider. It was last seen in February 2019, and considering how popular it is, Epic Games may bring it back for the next Valentine’s Day event. It’s important to note that Heartspan was a free glider that could only be gifted to someone else.
The glider was released as part of Kebcio’s locker bundle, which also includes Triggerfish and a few other cosmetic items. The bundle costs 3,200 V-Bucks, but the Raptor glider can also be purchased separately for 500 V-Bucks.
Considering that Epic keeps bringing rare Fortnite items back to the shop, no item is safe. However, it’s important to note that this doesn’t affect Battle Pass items. These items are exclusive and can only be obtained for a limited time in every season.
