According to a new leak by a well-known leaker Shiina on X (formerly Twitter), they revealed the Time Machine will lose control, and a rift will teleport the current map to the Chapter 1 map. This has not been confirmed by Epic Games yet, but the company has hinted at it.
The famous leaker also reported that the current map and the Chapter 1 map will be mixed in some way. However, this information is also unclear. In addition, they also reported this will take place in Season 5 of Fortnite. As a result, the Fortnite Island will have vast chunks of the Chapter 1 map and will likely rotate specific seasons every week. According to the leak, we will cycle through these changes for a month.
There have also been several hints relating to the return of the Chapter 1 map. In an image posted on the official Fortnite X (Twitter account), you can see Revenant Kado Throne in front of an out-of-control Time Machine with the date July 12, 2018. This was also the release date for Chapter 1, Season 5. As a result, Fortnite players may return to this specific season map in Chapter 1.
