New Fortnite skin may hold more secrets than players realize

The new Fortnite Lorenzo skin was teased alongside the announcement of Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 and players are discussing the possible ties Lorenzo may have with a past character skin.
Lorenzo was one of four skins originally teased with the announcement of Fortnite chapter 4 season 3. Lorenzo, Era, Rian, and Trace all seemed to have been criticized by fans since their reveal, but now a Lorenzo skin style unlockable by battle pass has grabbed the attention of players.
Lorenzo the Reckless and Renzo the Destroyer may be one in the same
In a Reddit post u/Poblo419 said, “I was looking at the new Lorenzo skin on the battle pass and I kept thinking he looks so familiar, I noticed he has some similar characteristics as a previous skin Renzo the destroyer.”
u/Poblo419 points out some shared details between Lorenzo the Reckless and Enzo the Destroyer, styles of the Lorenzo and Renzo skins. Both characters have similar skeletal mouths with golden teeth and a ripped pant leg on the left leg. With Renzo, he has visible belt chain accessories while Lorenzo has near identical belt chains hanging under his coat just barely out of view.
It may also be important to note that Lorenzo and Renzo both dress in a very dapper fashion with not identical but similar color palettes. There is also the similarity in their names that players have pointed out.
Some players think this connection is so obvious that it’s more of a thinly veiled fact than a theory. Reddit user u/Orangoru commented, “Renzo + Lo = Lorenzo, It’s not like they’re trying to hide that they have connections to each other.”
These seemingly obvious connections don’t appear to be upsetting players however they might be when discussing it. Rather since the connections seem so apparent to players they are spending less time discussing the validity of them and more time thinking of what they mean.
Some players are speculating that Lorenzo and Renzo are past and future versions of one person, or that they may be brothers with one undergoing a robotic transformation.
Players are looking to future quest lines to broaden the story and establish whatever connection the two may have. Reddit user u/bob1111bob commented, “Right now I think it’s somehow linked to that Chalice of Cubetastrophe I mean that sounds like a doomsday type item and Renzo is supposed to be some sort of destroyer. Perhaps Lorenzo gets some ideas.”
Whatever the story of Lorenzo or Renzo may be, the frustration players seemed to have with the early battle pass skins has seemed to have subsided in favor of figuring out these two characters.
