The Fortnitemares is a seasonal event, and many players want to know the release date. Many Fortnite players with a sense of spooky are looking forward to this event. This event will include new cosmetic items styled to suit the Halloween theme, filled with pumpkins, dark fantasy, and horror.
However, Epic Games has not officially released the Fortnitemares 2023 event, although cosmetics have been trickling in. Thanks to leakers and based on when the previous Fortnitemares events were held, we have a basic idea of when this will be. So, if you’re eager for the upcoming spooky event, find out the expected release date for Fortnitemares 2023.
Expected release date for Fortnitemares 2023
Unfortunately, the release date for Fortnitemare 2023 has not been confirmed yet by Fortnite and Epic Games. However, we can expect the Fortnitemares release date to be in October, similar to previous years. Fortnitmares have been an ongoing theme since Season 1 of Fortnite: Battle Royale. As a result, it has made a comeback each year.
On the following days, Fortnitemares has been held in October of each year:

- October 24, 2018
- October 29, 2019
- October 21, 2020
- October 5, 2021
- October 18, 2022
As you can see above, Fortnitemares usually occurred near the end of October. However, in 2021, the event was brought forward. Additionally, players can now see some Fortnitemare cosmetics in the Item Shop. You can now purchase Punk for 1,600 V-Bucks and Patch for 1,200 V-Bucks.
However, we still need to make it through one Fortnite content update, which will likely take place on October 10. Once v26.30 has been released, we can await the upcoming Fortnitemares event 2023. Additionally, thanks to a well-known leaker, Wenso on X (formerly Twitter), the Fortnitemares 2023 event will bring the Horde Rush challenge, three new Augments, Witch Brooms, Candy, and Pumpkin Launchers.
