Gaming peripheral giant Glorious is now allowing you to enter a group buy via their Glorious Forge program for the Glorious fox switches.

This is a big deal because the Glorious Fox switches were previously exclusive to the GMMK 2 and GMMK Pro. According to Glorious they “were never intended to be sold as a standalone product”.

This is part of a recent addition of limited-time, limited-run group buys by Glorious. This allows them to produce products on a smaller scale.

This is good because it allows consumers to get the products they want, even if a full production run of the product in question is not financially feasible.

This is particularly good news as the reaction to the Glorious Fox Switches was very positive, and many fans were annoyed that they were only attainable if you bought the full GMMK or GMMK Pro.

How long will the Glorious Fox Switches group buy last?

The chance to buy the Glorious fox switches will end on August 9th. This means you have a very limited window of time to get your hands on these great key switches.

As with the Glorious Series One Pro, this is the only chance to get ahold of this product. After the group by ends, the limited production run will start and you’ll only be able to get these switches for hugely inflated prices on eBay or something.

Glorious Fox Switches specs

glorious fox switch specs

  • Style: Linear
  • Pre-travel: 2.2mm
  • Total travel: 3.9mm
  • Actuation force: 45g
  • Bottom out force: 60g
  • Mount: Cherry-style 3-pin
  • Lubrication: Pre-lubed stem, spring, and upper housing.

From these specs, we can see that the Glorious Fox switches are very much focused on gaming with a featherweight 45g actuation force and a pre-travel of only 2.2mm.

Additionally, unlike the Glorious Panda Switches, the upper and lower housing are totally transparent, meaning that this switch is well-designed for RGB lighting.

This was something people didn’t like about the Glorious Panda Switches so we’re glad to see it available here.
