The Minecraft 1.20 update was released a couple of months ago and ever since, Mojang has been releasing patches to ensure top quality and keep the community happy. They have been releasing mostly platform or edition-specific updates since, and this one is no different. The update from August 8 is strictly for PlayStation (which includes both the 4 and 5). It was a small update, but an important one for gamers experiencing issues. Here are the full patch notes.

Minecraft’s latest PlayStation update patch notes

Here are the official patch notes straight from Mojang:

A new update has been released for PlayStation only to address a top crash and Store issue.

Please continue to upvote and report any new bugs at bugs.mojang.com and leave us your feedback at feedback.minecraft.net!

Fixes:

  • Fixed a top crash that could occur during gameplay
  •  Fixed an issue on PlayStation causing players to lose access to the Store

Be sure to check the PlayStation Store to update your application before trying to play again. These bugs were causing serious crashes and frustrating the community, so it’s best to update and hopefully avoid any troubles.
