Minecraft update 1.20 Trails and Tails update was just released last month, and with it came a whole new Armor trimming system, Camels, signs, and more. We love big updates like this as they add a lot of value to the game, especially to those players that currently have it all. but what’s next? Here’s what we want to see in the Minecraft 1.21 update as a community.

The more Minecraft gets updated, the better it becomes. The Minecraft modding scene is also alive and well as one YouTuber creates possibly the most terrifying Minecraft mod ever.

What the community wants to see in the Minecraft 1.21 update

There was a recent post made on Reddit by u/ZION_Minecraft asking the community what they want to see in the next Minecraft Update. The response was overwhelming.

The question was posed by ZION: What do you think is Minecraft 1.21 going to introduce? Over 200 comments were amassed within the first couple of hours explaining in detail what people want to see come out of the next Minecraft update.

There seemed to be a lot of people clamoring for an “End Update” or a “Dungeon Update”. One user on Reddit wrote:

This would be a really cool update should it go forward because the dungeons and the end seem like they haven’t got any love for a long time, more so the dungeons since the End has since had the End City update.

Another User called for a Badlands update.

We think that the Badlands are okay for now as is if 1.21 were to be a biome revamp update then there are other biomes in desperate need of an update. Some also feel the same way as we do regarding biomes.

We feel that a revamp to the End or the Dungeons is the way to go for this next update. Although there have been talks of revamping the ambient noise and the lighting system for Minecraft recently. So 1.21 could be when those revamps see the light of day.

When will the Minecraft 1.21 update be released?

The recent Trails and Tails update was only released last month, marking the start of the 1.20 update catalog. It takes Minecraft around 1 full year to jump to major versions. It took a full year for Minecraft to update from 1.19 to 1.20.

Because of this, we can sort of assume that Minecraft 1.21 will be released somewhere around Summer 2024 if all goes well. Sometimes, however, Minecraft major version updates take less time, if there are fewer minor version updates within the major version.
