Philips Is Launching a New 34 Inch HDR Monitor

Philips has announced the launch of a brand new monitor with some impressive specs and a surprising price.

Their 34-inch curved gaming monitor offers plenty of features such as a built-in USB-C docking station and pop-up webcam.

Alongside the announcement, Philips said: “Gaming shouldn’t be a choice between choppy gameplay or broken frames. Get fluid, artifact-free performance at virtually any framerate with adaptive sync technology, smooth quick refresh, and ultra-fast response time.”

What Specs Does The New Philips 34 Inch Curved Monitor Have?

The new Philips monitor offers a 100Hz refresh rate and a 4ms response time at 3440 x 1440 resolution.

For gamers, this monitor will be great in terms of refresh rates pushing past 60 Hz. While it may not be as impressive as other monitors out there with 144 Hz or 240 Hz refresh rate displays, 100 Hz is a respectable number which should be more than enough for most gamers.

With some impressive specs on offer, you may be wondering how much this monitor will be offered for.

Philips said the monitor will be available at £499 in the UK. For those in the US or beyond, the price isn’t certain yet but we’d estimate it’ll be on offer for around $600 USD. This is in line with what most 34-inch 1440p monitors are currently selling for.
