One of the rarest Fortnite skins recently returned to the Item Shop. The skin had been vaulted for 1,312 days, which is more than three and a half years. Considering this, Epic Games will likely bring back more rare cosmetics to the shop.

Fortnite Battle Royale was released in September 2017, and ever since then, Epic has released thousands of cosmetic items. Skins (outfits) are the most popular item, which is why it’s no surprise that players get excited whenever a rare one comes out.

Aeronaut was kept in the vault for nearly four years but was recently brought back to the Item Shop.

Aeronaut returned to the Item Shop as part of Keebabb’s locker bundle. Before its return, this was the eighth-rarest Fortnite skin of all time, but that is no longer the case. The cosmetic item costs 1,200 V-Bucks and can be purchased from the in-game shop.

The skin was first released in Season X, but it only appeared twice in the Item Shop before Chapter 4 – Season 3. Due to its rarity, many Fortnite players purchased the skin as soon as possible. However, it’s no longer rare and will likely return many more times.

With the return of Aeronaut, here are the five rarest Fortnite skins and their last release dates:

  • Reflex – March 4, 2019
  • Black Widow – May 6, 2019
  • World Warrior – July 28, 2019
  • The Paradigm – October 13, 2019
  • Demogorgon – November 6, 2019

Considering that Reflex is an Nvidia-exclusive skin and that World Warriors was released for the Fortnite World Cup, it’s unlikely that these skins will return to the Item Shop anytime soon, if ever. A new variant of Black Widow was released, but many players would love to own the OG skin as well.

The Paradigm hasn’t been seen since Chapter 1. A new variant of this character was added to the Chapter 3 – Season 4 Battle Pass, but the OG variant is still very popular. Finally, Demogorgon and Chief Hopper both haven’t been out since November 2019, but will likely return at some point.
