Ryzen 7 7800X3D release countdown

AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D release time prediction

Whilst we do not know exactly when the Ryzen 7 7800X3D will drop, we can use historical data to give us a bit of a clue on the matter.

We predict the Ryzen 7 7800X3D release time to be 2 PM BST.

The Ryzen 7 7800X3D is due to be released on April 6th, but nobody has specified what time the CPU will be valuable to buy from stores. Normally, the release of a CPU is the same worldwide, but with recent releases, such as the Ryzen 7000 series CPUs, we don’t see CPUs hit shelves until hours after they should.

We predict that the release time of the Ryzen 7 7800X3D will be around 2 PM BST, or 7 AM PT. This is around 24 hours after the review embargo drops, we usually see CPUS hit shelves around a day after the embargo is up.

This was the case with the recent Ryzen 9 X3D CPUs earlier this year, so we assume this to be the case with the Ryzen 7 7800X3D also. However, we could be wrong.

Ryzen 7 7800X3D release time by region

Here’s what 2 pm BST looks like all over the world, for the Ryzen 7 7800X3D release.

  • 3:30 AM EDT
  • 6:00 AM PT
  • 8:00 AM CT
  • 9:00 PM ACT

Unless the release is a set release and releases at 2 PM for each region regardless of time zone, in that case, it’ll be 2 PM wherever you are.

Here we will list all of the best places you can buy a Ryzen 7 7800X3D, and update the stock of each retailer as often as we can. Be careful to only buy a CPU from your region!

When can you buy the Ryzen 7 7800X3D at Newegg?

For now, we’re predicting 2 PM BST, which means that the Ryzen 7 7800X3D will be available online whenever you reach that time in your current time zone.

Newegg is an American company and it’s likely that the site is hosted in America also. That means that you’re likely looking at a release time around 3 AM EDT. The truth is we don’t actually know what time the 7800X3D will release worldwide on Newegg, we’re just predicting based on previous launches. It could very well be different this time around.

Ryzen 7 7800X3D Specifications

Here are the specifications for the Ryzen 7 7800X3D

Outstanding

AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D

Ryzen 7 7800X3D

Cores:

8

Thread:

16

Boost speed:

5.0GHz

Cache:

96MB

TDP:

120W

  • Core count: 8 (Multithreading enabled)
  • Thread count: 16
  • Boost clock: 5GHz
  • L2 cache: 8MB – 1MB per core
  • L3 cache: 96 MB – shared
  • TDP: 120 watts
  • iGPU: Radeon Graphics
  • Socket: AM5

As expected from a CPU equipped with a 3D V-cache, the Ryzen 7 7800X3D is equipped with 96MBs of shared L3 memory. It doesn’t have the best core count or clock speed, though. We’ll see how that affects performance when we get a hold of it.

The Ryzen 7 7800X3D is going to bring serious gaming performance to tighter budgets around the world, and it’s long overdue if you ask us. It remains to be seen why AMD pushed the more expensive models first, probably to increase sales because of the poor performance of the original 7000 series due to insane prices.
