Samsung announced the ViewFinity S9 earlier this year in January at CES 2023, but they have been tight-lipped about the official release date. However, thanks to an online retailer, we may have a better understanding of when this monitor may launch. According to Digitec Galaxus’ Austrian website, the ViewFinity could launch between the middle and end of September. According to Notebookcheck.net, Digitec Galaxus cites a September 14th, 2023 availability – with latest dates expected around September 28th. So we predict a release window in the month of September, 2023.

Another potentially related clue about the release date might be the timing of last year’s release of the Samsung ViewFinity S8, the S9’s predecessor.
But, the S8 was released in June of 2022, being announced in the same month. Samsung is probably trying to get ahead of the game this year by releasing the S9 earlier, so we won’t be waiting until June, we think that’s for sure.
Of course, it’s also worth considering any potential delays or production issues that might impact the release date.
The ongoing global chip shortage has been causing delays and supply chain issues for many tech companies, so Samsung could be affected by this as well.
Samsung’s OLED G9 could affect launch dates
Additionally, ViewFinity S9 is not the only monitor Samsung plans to put out on the market in the near future. The company has also heralded the release of a new Odyssey model, a stunning ultrawide OLED G9 and an updated Smart Monitor.
All three can be measured to the ViewFinity S9 by quality, which is just Samsung traditionally upping their game and leaving the competition in the dust.
