Having a good monitor for work is paramount. People spend most of the day viewing some kind of display without realizing how easier things could be!

This 27-inch monster boasts a 5K resolution (5120×2880) on an IPS display, bringing the quality in the picture quality to the newest levels of otherworldliness. But that’s not all – this monitor is packed with other impressive features, making it a fit prize for those who accept only the best.

Let’s start with the outside. Samsung ViewFinity S9 has a fashionable, stylish aluminum enclosure that is designed to dominate any desk with its elegance. The matte finish is a nice touch, too, and while it may reduce saturation and sharpness slightly, it drastically reduces glare, making it easier on the precious eyes. It’s refreshing – for example, Apple charges you $300 more for the nano-texture version of its Apple Studio.

Port-heavy design for Samsung’s new S9

Plus, the monitor won’t suffer from the lack of connectivity options, including one Thunderbolt 4 port, HDMI, Display Port, and three USB-C ports. The Power Delivery charging support sits at a comfortable 96W, which is well enough to charge even the newest MacBook Pros. Additionally, along with the monitor, you’ll get a sleek 4K SlimFit camera.

But what we expect to really set the Samsung ViewFinity S9 apart from the competition is the vibrance.

5K resolution is monumental by itself. Samsung claims that this monitor covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color palette and has Delta E ≦2[1] (meaning superior color reproduction), which is also pretty impressive. And, the monitor comes with the Color Calibration Engine that takes around 15 minutes to use, giving you a report on color accuracy and other details.

The ViewFinity S9 isn’t without its weak points, though. While it has an HDR600 rating, it has no local dimming, which means that your blacks won’t be as dark as they could be.

But all in all, this is a fantastic monitor that is tailored for anyone who needs a high-quality display for creative work. Keep an eye out for the Samsung ViewFinity S9’s release date, and consider pre-ordering to get your hands on one as soon as possible.
