Is the i9-13900KS Good for Content Creation? Content creation is a general term. Some tasks, such as writing and graphic design, require few resources. You can carry them out without a problem with low-level processors.

The more resource-intensive tasks, however, such as video editing, 3d rendering, and streaming, are best carried out by a high-end processor with multiple cores.

While you could use a weak processor, it will take painfully long. And as a content creator, your productivity is directly tied to your income.

Core i9-13900KS – Processor Specifications

Intel’s newest addition to Raptor Lake, the core i9-13900KS, has been making waves in the industry with its impressive specs. It’s been dubbed the fastest desktop processor in the world.

However, it does come at a $699 price point. Is the i9-13900K good for content creation, and is it worth the price? Let’s find out.

Here are the processor’s specs.

  • Core Count: 24
  • Performance Cores: 8 (Hyperthreading Enabled)
  • Efficiency Cores: 16
  • Total Threads: 32
  • Cache: 68 MB
  • P.Core Base Clock: 3.2GHz
  • P.Core Boost Clock: 5.4GHz
  • P.Core Max Clock with Thermal Velocity Boost: 6GHz
  • E.Core Base Clock: 2.4GHz
  • E.Core Boost Clock: 4.3GHz
  • Base TDP: 150 Watts
  • Max TDP: 320 Watts
  • Socket: LGA 1700

The new i9-13900KS has successfully broken the 6GHz clock speed milestone at stock values. Impressive as that may be, content creation relies more heavily on multicore performance.

Fortunately, the special edition i9 has that covered as well. With an incredible 32 threads (something you’d expect from a server/workstation processor!), the i9-13900KS takes the cake in multicore performance too.

The i9-13900KS – is it Good for Content Creation?

The intel i9-13900KS is the best CPU out there for content creators today.

The 32 threads on this processor will allow you to run multiple programs at once.

Design an attractive thumbnail in Photoshop, edit your next YouTube video on Adobe Premier Pro, or produce a smooth 3d render using Blender – the core i9-13900KS will help you produce high-quality content faster.

If you’re a streamer, this CPU will allow you to play and stream the most demanding titles at high framerates. Given that you pair it up with a high-end GPU, of course. .

Performance-wise, the i9-13900KS is the best there is right now, at least until AMD fires back with its highly anticipated Ryzen 9 7000 3D V-cache CPU release.

However, at a $699 MSRP, the i9-13900KS certainly won’t be a viable purchase for every creator.

If you’re interested in getting the best price-to-performance ratio, you’ll find the i5 and i7 Raptor Lakes much more suitable.

Even the CPU’s standard counterpart, the i9-13900K, will cost you $110 less while offering only marginally lower performance.

Final Thoughts

Overall, if you want to get your content produced in the shortest possible time, the i9-13900KS will be an investment worth your money. If producing better content faster helps you bring in more money, the CPU will practically pay for itself over time.

If you want a better compromise between price and performance, you could also go for a 13th gen i5 processor.
