CS:GO is about to undergo a substantial change, morphing for the better into the highly anticipated CS2. So it’s only right then, that Valve come up with a new logo for CS2, something modern and flashy to show off the updated game in all its glory, but did you notice this about the Counter-Strike 2 logo?

The CS2 release date still eludes us for the most part, however, Valve announced that the game will release in Summer 2023. We’re getting closer!

The new CS2 logo features one major change

The CS2 logo looks a lot like the original CS:GO logo, only there’s one key difference. A user by the name of u/GGDropcom_Off on Reddit states:

CS2 has reversed the colors of the CSGO logo and no one noticed

This is true, but we haven’t seen a lot of people talk about it, and with a large majority of the community on high alert for CS2 news and changes, it comes as a bit of a surprise.

Here are the two CS:GO and new CS2 logos side by side:

As you can see, the silhouette of the CT has undergone some sleek modernization with smooth edges and a more blocky, italic look. But the most interesting thing to note is the revering of the orange and blue colors in the logo itself.

It’s not clear whether Valve wanted to do this change to mean something or just to change up the logo representing the overhaul of CS2 in a way that is still familiar to the players.

I think that artistically flipping the colors instead of changing them makes a lot of sense, because, in a way, CS2 will be the act of CS:GO receiving a new coat of paint. But it’s a coat that will still be familiar to the veteran fans of CS:GO. With all that being said, did you notice this about the Counter-Strike 2 logo?
