Can you only play Assassin’s Creed Mirage on next-gen consoles? The latest game in the Assassin’s Creed series created by Ubisoft is available on multiple platforms. Of course, being a new game, it could be exclusive to next-gen systems.

The latest Assassin’s Creed game has you playing as Basim which many fans may recognize from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Mirage takes place 12 years before the events of Valhalla when Basim was just a simple street thief in Baghdad.

Past AC games have been on multiple platforms and have even spanned console generations by being on consoles like Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. These games have also made their way to PC and even Steam Deck. Does this mean Mirage will be on last-gen consoles? Is Assassin’s Creed Mirage next-gen only?

Will Assassin’s Creed Mirage be a next-gen exclusive?

No. Assassin’s Creed Mirage is not a next-gen exclusive title. This means that you will be able to play the game on the previous generation consoles like the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4. Like past Assassin’s Creed games, this can be played on PC if yours meets the system requirements.

The platforms for Assassin’s Creed Mirage were confirmed in multiple trailers for the game as well as on Ubisoft’s website. This is great news for those who want to experience the assassination gameplay and steller parkour of Assassin’s Creed Mirage on last-gen systems.

Mirage’s narrative is expected to be shorter than past games like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Except to get many hours out of the game though thanks to the massive city of Baghdad and its unique districts. This will give you plenty to explore.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage’s story focuses on Basim as he goes from being a cunning street thief to a master assassin. As one of the most versatile assassins in the stealth-action series, you will have access to new tools like smoke bombs and throwing knives to help you take down your targets.
