This free-to-play game has led to numerous world championship esports events and has been released on an insanely large number of different platforms. With that last part in mind, you might be wondering if the game supports crossplay or not. In short, yes it does, though it hasn’t always worked that way. At least these days, any player can play with any other player, whether they’re on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Switch, Mac, iOS, or Android.

So, yes, Brawlhalla does in fact support cross platform play, but that’s only been the case since around 2019. For the first two years of its life, it wasn’t possible to play with others on certain platforms, but an update in October 2019 bought crossplay to all available platforms at once. This also makes it possible for players on PlayStation systems to join in the annual esports events that are held by the developers.
How to Play Brawlhalla Cross Platform
There are a few ways that crossplay in this game can actually work. If you’re just looking to play against random people regardless of their platform, then you don’t have to do anything. Regular matchmaking will pair you with others regardless of the platform that you’re on. If you want to play with your friends specifically, you’ll have to create a custom room for the game and share your room code with them, as there is no way to add friends outside of your platform.
Does Brawlhalla Have Cross Save/ Cross Progression?
It’s great news that a title that is available on so many different platforms, also supports a very simple cross progression system. ASs the game was bought out by Ubisoft, all versions of the game are tied together by the use of a Ubisoft account. As long as you’re logged into the same Ubisoft account across all the different platforms you use, all of your unlocks and progression will be carried over.
