Challenging playthroughs in games are becoming more and more popular, so it was only a matter of time before players turned toward Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. While you might expect minimum kill runs to have been one of the first ideas to pop up, it was instead the challenge run that bans the use of the primary weapon—the lightsaber.

While it may seem strange that you might be able to beat a Jedi game without the primary weapon, some fans worked hard to see if it was possible. Below we have all information you need on beating Jedi: Survivor without a lightsaber.

Is it possible to beat Star Wars Jedi: Survivor without a lightsaber?

While beating Jedi Survivor without using the Lightsaber might sound impossible, it does seem to be possible to beat Jedi Survivor without using the Lightsaber. This is thanks to not only the ability to use force powers but also the addition of the Blaster Stance and the skills that come with it.

How To Beat Jedi Survivor Without A Lightsaber

Just because it is possible doesn’t mean that the run is anything simple. Even the most basic of opening fights are going to drag on as you must wait for your force meter to recharge slowly over time in order to even think about fighting back. This does get simpler when you have an ally fighting with you but that only happens during your time in Coruscant.

For most of the run, you will want to try and run past any encounter that the game doesn’t force you into. Any encounter you need to pass will be a bit difficult if there is nothing in the arena to damage them with or a way to push them off a ledge. You will most likely need to over-level Cal to get some of the endgame Force abilities early on. This is made easier because you can ignore the lightsaber abilities.

You will need to focus on clearing the main mission list and steer clear of any sidequests that you don’t need to beat the game. The fewer things you need to do without a Lightsaber, the easier the run. However, getting experience from side quests will make getting upgrades to your stims and perks easier.
