When is the Cities Skylines 2 release date? We are nearing the launch time for this city builder created by Colossal Order Ltd and Paradox Interactive. The original game is still a popular PC game and has been since it was released back in 2015.

When is the Cities Skylines 2 release date?
The official release date for Cities Skylines 2 is October 24, 2023, for PC. If you are reading this in October, you know that you don’t have very long to go until you can start crafting your own cities, messing with the climates, and building a thriving metropolis.
Unfortunately, those who want to get Cities Skylines 2 via Xbox Series X/S, PS5, or Game Pass, will need to wait until 2024 as the game was delayed. Currently, there is no release date on the Xbox or PlayStation store pages. Those who are waiting for the console release will need to wait for another announcement.
What platforms is Cities Skylines 2 on?
Cities Skylines 2 will be released on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam. The first release will be for those playing on PC. As for the console release, there is currently no information on the exact release date.

Those who purchase the Ultimate Edition will get access to the San Francisco Set right away. The other bonuses will be released over the course of the next year including the Bridges and Ports expansion.
Cities Skylines 2 – Trailers and gameplay
The announcement trailer for Cities Skylines 2 was unveiled back in March 2023 and an official gameplay trailer was revealed during the Xbox Showcase.
The gameplay of Cities Skylines 2 is just like the original with some major upgrades. You can craft cities like never before. There are now landmark buildings. These unique buildings are styled after famous landmarks. You can even build sky-high, meaning you can build higher than ever before.
Cities Skylines 2 features a living economy and deep simulation meant to test your problem-solving. As you build your sprawling cities, the seasons change bringing various seasonal challenges such as the natural forces of tornados and hailstorms.
