Should you take the oath in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty? After the beginning of the Phantom Liberty DLC, you will be asked by NUSA President Rosalind Myers to take an oath. This major decision comes after the first mission in the DLC. At this point, you will have met Songbird and entered Dogtown.

During the Lucretia My Reflection mission, you will help President Myers escape, take down the Chimera boss, and run through some avenues until you reach an abandoned apartment. Once there, you will have your first major decision and it is to take an oath of service.

There are plenty of main quests that you will take part in alongside Johnny Silverhand. It will even lead to a new ending of Cyberpunk 2077. Before continuing on to the other gigs, you have a choice to make. Should you take the oath in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty?

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty – Should you take the oath?

It doesn’t matter if you take the oath in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. We suggest taking it because it leads to some extra dialogue in later main missions. Other than that, either choice will come with the same rewards.

As you and President Myers discuss methods of rescuing Songbird, you will begin talking about Solomon Reed. Myers will mention that the easiest way for Reed to screen you is if you have a file in the FIA database. This leads to her asking you to take the oath.

Either way, you will get the coin and have a record in the database so there is no real difference in the choice besides some dialogue later on. One of the different endings of the game will reference the oath but only if you unlock it.

CD Projekt Red has added many choices to the game with some of them having an impact on your adventure. Others, however, don’t have much impact and you can simply pick whatever you feel better suits your version of V.
